AWC Intermediate River/Whitewater SUP (Class II-III)

Sunday, June 2 2024 1:00pm (3-4 hrs)

Learn the fundamentals of whitewater paddle boarding. This course will cover whitewater-specific equipment, safety, river reading/rapid scouting & running, and whitewater SUP techniques/river maneuvers.

Skill Prerequisites: Confidently maneuver and paddle in a straight line in moving water, able to adjust your stance/foot position on your board while paddling.

Clinic Cost: $40.00

ACA (American Canoe Association) Event Insurance: $10/person for non-ACA members (this is mandatory!!) A parent or guardian must sign the waiver for anyone under the age of 18.

If you are an ACA member, event insurance is included in your membership. Please provide your ACA membership number in the form during registration.

Equipment needed: SUP (9-10’ x 34-36”), shallow water fin (5” or less), Paddle, PFD. Dress for cold water (wetsuits or dry suits, we will be getting wet!). Helmet Required. Impact protection (knee/elbow pads) if desired, but not required.

Water, snacks, dry bag, change of clothes.
