Here are flows for 12/12/2025! Flow on the Rio Grande is still looking good, with OV/Racecourse reported flow of 667 cfs. Flows on the Wilderness/Day Sections of the Rio Chama have dropped about 388 / 387 cfs, and for now the Abiquiu Wave still has a strong reported flow of 802 cfs! In Colorado, Royal Gorge of the Arkansas River has a reported flow at Wellsville of 339 cfs (no idea about ice bridges in the Gorge). On the Colorado River in Colorado, the flow reported for Barrel Springs and Shoshone is 770 cfs. And out in Utah in Cataract Canyon of the Colorado, the reported flow is 4,060 cfs at Gypsum Canyon near Hite.
WARNING: when weather is cold enough to allow ice to form in rivers, these rivers can develop ice "bridges" or places where a layer of ice (sometimes thick) is formed across the river. Just because there is a flow doesn't mean there aren't significant (and dangerous) ice obstructions in the river.
NOTE: gauge readings can be distorted when ice is forming in rivers.
