Intermediate Inflatable Kayaking
Saturday, June 6, 2026 1:00pm (4 hrs), 10 students max.
Paddle from Quartzite to County Line (pending conditions)
For those comfortable with the skills in the Introduction to Inflatable Kayaking Clinic, this is a chance to hone your skills and learn new ones. This class will paddle the Racecourse, a Class III run of about five miles, accompanied by instructors and safety boaters. Swift water and big features with challenging lines for those that choose them.
Lead Instructor: Scott Carpenter
Prerequisites: Confident paddling skills on class II moving water including self-rescue (we will work on that).

Adobe Whitewater Club Membership:
You must be a member of the Adobe Whitewater Club to participate in the clinic. It’s only $15! Join here.
Event Insurance & Signed Waiver are MANDATORY
If you are a member of the American Canoe Association, event insurance is included in your membership. You will need to provide your membership number and expiration date when registering.
If you are NOT a member of the American Canoe Association, event insurance is $10/person and can be purchased here or when you check out.
All participants will be required to sign a waiver. A parent or guardian must sign for participants under 18 years old.
Equipment needed: Inflatable kayak, paddle, Inherently buoyant (foam) PFD designed for paddling, whitewater helmet (bicycle helmets not permitted), whistle, Secure Close-toed shoes (No Crocs or other sandal-style footwear), Appropriate clothing for water temperature - dress to swim!, lunch/snacks, water, sun protection, a change of clothes.
