Introduction to Kayaking Rolling

Saturday, June 6, 2026 2:00pm (4 hrs), 8 students max.

When you are comfortable rolling a kayak, you can take your paddling to a new level and many more waters are open for you to enjoy.  This class will introduce students to the kayak sweep roll.  Participants will first be taught how to safely exit their kayak when upside down. Next, the fundamentals of the sweep roll will be taught.

Although the class will be taught in still or slowly moving water, students should expect to swim.  Some people prefer earplugs and swim goggles.  Participants must provide their own hard-shell kayak, spray skirt, pfd, paddle, and helmet. Water and snacks are advised.
